How a Simple Kiss Led Ronnie & Dennis to Their Dream Wedding

Dennis didn’t expect to meet someone that night. It was just a pajama party. Laughter floated in the air, music pulsed gently through the walls, and people mingled in slippers and silk. But Ronnie caught his eye, or rather, Dennis caught Ronnie's when he leaned in with a playful smirk, kissed the back of his neck, and whispered, “Hold my drink for me?”
He did. Ronnie held it like a gentleman, like a sentinel, watching the door until Dennis returned. And when he did, something clicked. Like two puzzle pieces, finally placed together. The rest of that night, well, let’s just say they didn’t let go of each other. The weekend unfolded like a rom com montage: long talks, soft laughs, little glances, and the kind

of connection that feels both brand new and deeply familiar.
And then, like all things dreamlike, the weekend ended. Dennis returned to Atlanta. Ronnie went back to New Jersey. But their story had just begun.
They stayed in constant contact. Texts turned to calls, and calls turned into plans. Ronnie just so happened to be visiting Atlanta the next weekend and invited Dennis to an event. They spent another night together, and just before his flight, squeezed in a quick lunch at Bar Taco in West Midtown. It was supposed to be a short moment. It became the first of many.
From that day forward, they talked day and night.
By early December, Ronnie asked Dennis to come to New York. Dennis, being a New Yorker at heart, didn’t hesitate. That weekend became a milestone, meeting each other’s families, something Dennis had never done with a partner before. As they left the city, they stopped by Rockefeller Center, posing in front of the giant Christmas tree. Later that evening, over a quiet dinner and heartfelt conversation, the realization settled in: they were no longer just talking.
They were together.
At the time, Dennis was torn between moving to D.C. or returning to New York. But love has a way of making the map a little smaller. Being near Ronnie just felt right. So Dennis found work in the city and picked up a part-time job in New Jersey. Before they knew it, Dennis had practically moved in. And they’ve been inseparable ever since.
Perhaps the funniest part of their story? From 2009 to 2010, Ronnie messaged Dennis every single year on Facebook to wish him a happy birthday. Dennis would simply like the message or reply with a quick “thank you.” Sometimes, he goes back and reads those old threads, wondering, what if I had answered differently in 2013?
Fate is patient, it seems.

How I Met Ronnie & Dennis
Their story found its way to me through a mutual friend, the incredibly talented Micah Moore. Years ago, Micah was known for his cosplay convention videos—vibrant, high-energy edits filled with creativity and character. Ronnie and Dennis were featured in one of those videos and had always remembered his work. When it came time to find a filmmaker for their wedding, they reached out to Micah first. But he had one person he trusted to match his vision and caliber of quality….. Me. :)
When I met Ronnie and Dennis, I instantly understood why their story was worth telling. Their energy was magnetic. Their laughter came easy. Their love? Unmistakable.

They told me about their wedding plans, a destination celebration at the breathtaking Hyatt Ziva in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. A dream venue that needed the right team to do it justice. I called in Rachael from Aurora Photography, my long time friend and favorite creative partner, and for the live ceremony video coverage. I brought in the talented Crystal Le, an expert at capturing moments as they unfold in real time.
We spent four days and three nights in paradise. It was work and play all rolled into one unforgettable adventure. The welcome party gave us a chance to meet the guests, everyone introduced themselves, and instantly it felt like family. The next evening was the rehearsal dinner, which turned into a thrilling round of Mafia, a game I had never seen before, and one that quickly turned friends into suspects.

And then there was the wedding day.
It felt like something straight out of a movie. Golden sunlight poured onto the sand. The ocean whispered in the background. Vows were exchanged under open skies and warm breezes. Emotions were high. Love was palpable. And every moment was a gift to capture.
You’ll have to watch the film to believe it.
Happy Anniversary, Ronnie & Dennis.
Thank you for trusting me and my team to be part of such a beautiful chapter in your love story. It was an honor to witness not just the ceremony, but the bond you share.
